Saint John Altar Society
St. Ann, pray for us
Who We Are
St. John Catholic Church's Altar Society currently has 114 members from the St. John community.  We are a Catholic women's group which dates back to the 1930s here in the River Valley.
What We Do
While the members of the Altar Society participate in many individual Parish Activities, there are also many activities sponsored by the Altar Society as a group.  These activities include:

Monthly Meetings: The 3rd Friday of each month after Altar Care
President: Christine Schalk
479-967-4352

Mission:
To care for the Altar and decorate the church, organize funeral meals for bereaved parishioners and provide ATU meals on the first Thursday of each month when ATU is in session.
Why We Do It
The purpose of this organization is:

To unite the women of St. John Parish in efforts toward spiritual and educational development and to promote Catholic fellowship and fraternal cooperation within the parish and community.

To provide for and take care of the needs of the Altar and Sanctuary.

To assist the pastor in spiritual and material undertakings for the well-being of the Parish.
